Prayer & Praise
Dear Partners,
We are asking for a quick prayer request. George Arvi, one of the
pastor's was assaulted at the Bible Institute that is across from
where Brittany and Charity are staying. Apparently, four men were
upset and they decided to take their vengeance out on an innocent
person. They brutally attacked the guard, who happens to also be
a pastor. They used a machete and they cut the pastors face several
times, as well as his arms, fingers and all over his entire body.
They also punctured one of his lungs and he is in critical condition.
Please pray for Pastor George and his family. George is one of the
nicest people we know in Iquitos. Although he is a pastor, he also
worked odd jobs to help provide for his family. He's a man with
a great love for the Lord and has always been such a hard, hard
worker. The assailants also tried to bang there way into the deaf
center, EFATA, where the girls are currently staying. Pastor Abram
had a discussion with Brittany and Charity, and reminded them to
never open the main door, unless they know who it is. There are
ways to easily get into the school, so they are all on alert to
be careful. Please continue to pray for the girls and God's protection
for them as well as for Pastor Abram and his family.
