Prayer & Praise
Thanks for your genuine prayerful concern for my health and for
our house. I am actually at the LAX airport checking email one more
time before heading out on a very long flight to the S. Pacific.
Vi and I have meetings in the countries of Fiji, New Zealand, Australia
and Papua New Guinea. We are scheduled to return home May 6th.
I've had men up on our roof three times this winter with axes chopping
huge 3' glaciers of ice out the valley above our bedroom where all
the water has been coming in. At the moment the leaks have stopped.
PTL! But, as soon as the thawing of snow above the valley begins
and the nighttime refreezing takes place, the ice dams reform creating
the problem all over again. So, this morning at 3:00AM we covered
our bedroom furniture and floor with a huge tarp and arranged the
buckets in the typical places the water leaks in and headed for
the airport driving through yet another snow storm. Oh, are we ever
ready to move back to the west coast!!! We do have people who will
look in on the house
occasionally for us until the ice and snow are completely gone.
We'll do the final repairs in June.
Thanks you for praying for my back. I am making progress. Actually
more so in the last 4 days than in the whole month previously. I
am not pain free yet, but MUCH IMPOVED...AMEN! I am wearing a corset
which does seem
to help keep me from re-injuring myself. Please keep praying for
this and my stamina as I preach Easter morning in Hamilton Bible
Church (where Robin is) and then conferences in Fiji, Australia
and PNG. I am trusting the "Joy of the Lord" to be my
strength. If football players can "play hurt" for the
glory of a superbowl ring, certainly we can for the Glory of the
Lord!
Again, Thanks for your prayers and concern. Attached is our most
recent prayer letter...completed just two days ago.
Please greet Daisy and the girls for us. You guys are very special
to us. May God's richest blessings be on you my brother!
Rejoicing,
Rick
