Sunday School

We offer Sunday school classes for all ages from 9:45-10:45 am between the early and late service (depending on when first service ends, this might be closer to 10-11 am, so don't set your watches based on when classes start).

We feature separate classes for 3-5 year olds (preschool), K-1st grade, 2-3rd grade, 4-5th grade, middle school (6-8th grade), high school, and adults (we invite college students to join our adult class).

On a typical Sunday, we have between 80 and 100 students across all classes. Classes are taught by an all-volunteer army of teachers, some of whom have been faithfully and selflessly teaching the same class for over 20 years!

About Our Classes

For our middle school and below classes, we use a Bible-based and professionally produced curriculum. For our high school on up, the teachers sometimes present their own material based on meticulous personal research and other times use third-party videos to facilitate the lessons. We strive for interactivity, a fun learning environment, Biblically-based and age-appropriate instruction in each of our classes.

Each year, the FBC church family elects a Sunday School superintendent to oversee the Sunday school program. The superintendent recruits and works with the teaching staff to make sure they have what they need to teach effectively, approves the curriculum, and manages the Sunday school budget.

Drop in any Sunday to join us for our 9:45 - 10:45 am classes. If you're interested in volunteering or have any questions about what your child (or you!) learned in Sunday school, please contact the teacher or the Sunday school superintendent. We'd be happy to hear from you

Childcare

The Children's ministry offers childcare for nursery age kids (under 3) during both early and late service and during the Sunday school hour. There is also a "junior church" program for all ages held concurrently with the 8:30 and 11:00 service. Neither of these are "officially" overseen by the Sunday school teachers, but as with all things in a small church, we all talk with each other to make sure kids get from one place to another safely and coordinate as needed.
