Please come! If you are in the Kansas City area (or even if not!), we invite you to begin your New Year by attending our commissioning service, a time when our church family will formally send us out: January 1, 2012, at 6:00 pm at Blue River Bible Church, 15608 Fairchild Drive, Kansas City, MO, 64147 The visa situation: Thank you for praying for God to provide a sponsoring church in Denmark for our visa. The trick is the church must be large enough to support its own pastor and be recognized by the state. The first church we looked into was unable to be our sponsor. Now, we are in contact with another church. The initial phone conversation with the pastor went well, and we plan to have a follow-up call in about a week. Praises: • God’s faithful hand of provision and protection during the past four years of pre-field ministry. • Contact with another possible sponsoring church in Denmark. • The network of Danish contacts God has brought us to already! We thank him for believers we can fellowship with in Denmark. • The efforts of our sending church in helping raise our outgoing expenses. Many friends contributed time, talents, and resources to the benefit concert which raised over $5000 for our outgoing expenses. • Our monthly support level is at 96%! The Lord continues to show his provision as we plan to be in Denmark in three months! Prayer Requests: • Continued direction as we follow up with the pastor in Denmark whose church may sponsor us for our visa. Ask the Lord to send us into his harvest field with the best possible scenario for our visa. • 100 more daily prayer partners (200 secured already!) • The remaining 4% of our monthly support needs to come in ($275/mo). • Provision of our outgoing expenses ($40,000 still needed). • Strength and wisdom as we prepare to move. Pray for Claire and Seth during this transition and that we would be sensitive to their needs during this busy time.
