Biblical Ministries Worldwide
Dear All at Fellowship Bible Church,
Thank you very much for your continuing part in the ministry here through your prayers and support.
Last month I mentioned an unsaved lady texting me, wanting to get together for lunch. Our lunch lasted nearly 6 hours! She is struggling with some hurts from her past. I did get several opportunities to talk about the Lord, but not to the point of a clear plan of salvation. Please continue to pray for her salvation.
The other lady I mentioned last month that I witnessed to has recently chosen to go to a different church because a friend of hers is there. She still comes around occasionally if she wants help with something, but her heart is not very open. She’s quite a pragmatic person.
A few weeks ago Nancy (my co-worker wife) and I took a deaf lady out for lunch and gave her a small gift we had made. It really made inroads into the relationship. This lady does not seem to understand the gospel yet. She’s had some struggles that make understanding new things difficult. Added to that, her friend takes her to a variety of churches and cults. Do pray for her salvation as well.
Recently we had a loonnggg day! We had a work day in the morning where we painted the steps/stage of the room we use as well as doing a few other things. Then we had a social—a miniature golf activity. After that we came back to the church and put the second coat of paint on, and a bit later we all left for “Deaf Pizza Night”. Deaf pizza night is a monthly social of deaf, hard of hearing, and sign language students getting together at a pizza parlor for a few hours. It is not a Christian organization but is a good way to make contacts and develop relationships.
Another good way to develop relationships is at Deaf Coffee Night. There’s a hard of hearing lady I’ve seen there a few times but didn’t have opportunity to talk with until recently. We happened to be sitting next to each other. At one point she was telling me about an illness she had a few months ago. I had the same thing in 1990. Most people have never heard of what we had. Once she knew I knew what she was talking about she “high fived” me and I said was her friend. Pray that this will develop into opportunities to witness to her.
The missions conference I went to in March went well and was a blessing to me. Thanks for your prayers. Thanks again for your prayers and support.
In His love,
