Biblical Authority
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and the foundation of our teaching, fellowship, and ministry. Scripture stands at the center of our lives together, authoritative and unchanging, determining what we believe and how we live. We follow Christ’s call to hear and obey the Word. (2 Timothy 3:15-17 & James 1:22-24)
Transformational Obedience
As sinners saved by the grace of God through Christ, we desire to obey God’s command to be holy as He is holy. Being transformed and led by the Holy Spirit, we seek to exemplify God’s character by living with integrity according to God’s Word, which is both pleasing to Him and a testimony to others. (1 Peter 1:15-16, Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 12:14, Col 1:22)
One Family in Christ
As we have been lovingly adopted into God’s family through His Son Jesus, we walk as the body of Christ, serving and caring for one another. We are many individuals, united by the mind of Christ, working together to glorify our heavenly Father. (Eph. 1:5; Col. 3:14; I Cor. 12; Rom. 15:5-6, Phil 2:1-2)
Generational Discipleship
We teach and model God’s Word across generations in our local church, intentionally loving and discipling one another toward Christlikeness (Deut. 6:4-9, Ps. 78:4, I Tim. 5:1-2, Eph. 4:32)
Humble Service
We submit to the Holy Spirit's guidance and surrender ourselves to Him because all we are and all we have is given to us through the grace of God. Equipped with His gifts and following Christ’s example, we joyfully serve others and give Him all the glory. (Matt 5:16, Phil 2:3-8, Eph 2:10)
our story
Fellowship Bible Church began as a product of the church planting ministry of Chinese Bible Mission, a missions organization involved in developing churches and other ministries in the greater Bay Area. FBC began in 1976 as a merger of Faith Bible Church in Daly City and Hope Bible Church in Foster City, and has since grown as we moved from properties in San Mateo, Burlingame and then San Bruno.
In November 1992, the Lord graciously provided our current property in Belmont. That same year, Pastor Sen Wong, our founding pastor, handed the torch to Pastor Steve Wong as senior pastor, and Pastor Kevin Kan as Associate Pastor. Pastor Steve and Pastor Kevin have been serving together for over 30 years, and continue to do the work of the Lord faithfully at FBC. Just this year, the Lord brought Pastor Chris Wong to join on the Pastoral team.
